Description: (click here for general notes about my descriptions)
The Río Yeguare is a very fine class IV creek when the water is up, which is not too often. The length and elevation drop are not too great, and the shuttle is very easy. At medium-low water, your boat will take a fair bit of abuse though. It starts inauspiciously for 3.5 km through some ranchlands with a lot of trash in the bushes, and then you enter the hills. The first class III is seen at 35 minutes, the first easy IV at 50 minutes, and the first real IV at 60 minutes. Most of the rapids are formed by small boulders, which in many parts appear to be of pink granite.

Descent History: My only descent was in July 2010 with 150 cfs at the PI.
