Description: (click here for general notes about my descriptions)
The Río Telica is an easy-to-access but hard-to-catch lazy float in the broad Río Guayape valley. Waterfowl--herons, egrets, storks, roseate spoonbills, and even a hawk--were spotted the one day we caught the water. Not much jungle remains in the area; the banks are mostly farmland.
A full description is in the Mayan Whitewater El Salvador, Honduras, & Nicaragua guidebook.
Descent History: My wife Alice Lee and I ran this in October 2021, with about 1,500 cfs.
