Description: (click here for general notes about my descriptions)

The Río San Pedro is a beautiful creek with no car access beyond El Cayo Sierra but straightforward foot access; first, on a dry season road heading upstream to Las Mangas; then, on well worn but muddy trails. The hiking, which takes longer than the kayaking, gives you plenty of time to appreciate the scenery (1 hour to Las Mangas + 2 hours to Mala Falda + 1.5 hours to Los Encuentros).

A full description is in the Mayan Whitewater El Salvador, Honduras, & Nicaragua guidebook.

Descent History: I ran this in November 2005, with 500 cfs at the PI.
