Description: (click here for general notes about my descriptions)
The bottom part of the Río Danto is a jeep-accessible run flowing out of Pico Bonito National Park. It is hard to catch (I never have) but Udo at Omega Tours says it has some good class IV rapids in the first part. There is a very rough RR road that leads up to a dam which is your PI (this dam provides some of La Ceiba's water I believe). Descent History: Both Udo Witteman (of Omega Tours) and the Ríos Honduras guys explored this in the 90s.
A full description is in the Mayan Whitewater El Salvador, Honduras, & Nicaragua guidebook.
