Description: (click here for general notes about my descriptions)
The Río Culupa is a nice tree-lined creek through farmland with friendly round-boulder rapids. The birding is nice--I saw herons and roseate spoonbills on my run. You do need to watch out for about a dozen talanqueras, however. You can expect downed trees in the river also. Those wanting an extra-short run, or to avoid many of the wood issues, can take-out early near Azacualpa.

Descent History: I ran this is January 2017, with a flow of 250 cfs.
